Thank you for your FAST reply Bob,

I have enjoyed using the demo on the first time out! I am looking forward to paying for this copy! I really loved it! I feel that all mac users should have this program for their internet phone conversations! And you can QUOTE me on that one! I have tried Cool Talk® "Fool Talk" and "Internet Phone®".

I was impressed with I/P and paid for it. But I have seen thelight! Your Program "Clear Phone®" is AWESOME! The Delays are Minimal even at 11KHz! Seamless conversation in duplex mode makes it more TRUE to the concept of a phone call! Even at 14.4Kbps speeds, your program by far, out-performs ANY internet phone programs that I have seen or used, to date! The File Transfers were also seamless with hardly any delay in voice! Never was there a breakup in VOICE like that of I/P! Never was there any system glitches like that of C/T! I installed the software and went right on line without a hitch!

This brings back the good ole' days of Plug ~n~ Play software! Keep on Truckin'!

Hello!! First time user here. I have used this ClearPhone thingy for three days now and I LOVE IT! It is so much "Clearer" than other phone programs I have used. And thanks to my teacher Shanti (OB1...ClearPhone Jedi Master). I know how to use the program to its fullest. Well just thought I would say "Thanks for making us Macies a cool program!!!" Take care and have a Groovey Day!!!

Bob,

I'm overwhelmed. Thank you for your generosity. Scott Cleary just let me know that he filled you in on the situation and I have received the registration code from you for version 3.x.x. I'm even more excited to spread the word about Clearphone than I was before. You not only have an incredible product but service like this is worth talking about. You can bet that I will have lots of good things to say about Clearphone and Engineering Consulting. Again, thank you.

I have tried some other popular video & audio phone programs but this ClearPhone is the best, you know, and I am very satisfied with my registration now. I am trying to introduce CP to my Korean friends here, and someday later I really hope that there'll be more & more users all over the world.Thank you Bob for your kind explanation & great help!

I would like to express my support for the ClearPhone program. Bob at ClearPhone has done such an outstanding job in not only developing a superior product, but also in perfecting and innovating new features that he continues to widen the gap between the competition. I am one of the original ClearPhone customers. When I registered with ClearPhone I had researched (for business and personal use) all the Internet Phone Programs available both in the Macintosh and Windows environments. ClearPhone has been the most the consistent and clearest internet phone program from its inception. It's nice to ALWAYS be able to understand what is being said. Both the audio and the video are superior! If you feel you can benefit by being able to communicate for free around the world with an internet phone program I recommend that you register for ClearPhone and tell others about it. Clearphone, instead of being the best kept secret on the World Wide Web will become
the most talked about useful program on the Web.

Thanks for your prompt reply. Your advise was apparently correct; after entering the name and email address we were able to logon with no problem. We've only used your software for a short time, but we are very pleased with the results, especially compared to other products which we tried. There is no comparison, Clearphone is so superior that it is in its own class.

Thanks,

I must tell you that I just had a conversation with a chap from Hong Kong...I mean a REAL conversation, filled with calrity like he was sitting next to me. we were both using v.444. i dont know how much 444 had to do with it, but i really must compliment you on the continuing upgraded performance of clearphone. Its truly an exciting time to see this technology, and a program, a developer, who is continually striving for that peak in performance. I salute you.

Hi Bob,

The demo went great yesterday. I was able to demo Clearphone using our internal network and also show some of the internet features as well. Overall the audience was impressed, despite being all "low-tech" people.
My demo started much earlier than scheduled due to the fact that the other part of the video-conferencing segment (a PictureTel connection to an Academy in New Jersey) didn't work right. While the facility people
were troubleshooting the PictureTel issues, I jumped in and demoed ClearPhone. That made them even more impressed because ClearPhone seemed easier (and less expensive) to configure than PictureTel. :)

Thanks again for the help and the demo advice.
Take care, 73- D A V E

Hello People @rocketcharged.com,

I read your write up of ClearPhone. I have to say this about "CP"
ClearPhone. It is the ONLY program that I will use for "over the net" voice communications. I have tried others, which include "InternetPhone", "CUSeeMe", and a few others out there.

While I will admit the controls takes a bit of getting used to, if one reads the manual that Bob has a link to in ClearPhone VIA your web browzer... Then you can get a "feel" for it. But I also have to adimt when I first tried ClearPhone I was amazed!!! Not only that Bob has never charged me once for updates that I see others charge for "Namely IP". But that is updated on a regular basis!

No Quarks no crashes and no hassles is what I have seen from ClearPhone. All the others required some type of tweeking with-in the system. Not ClearPhone. And just as it's Name sugjests it is CLEAR! (I guess he could have named it "Bob's Phone".)

Now, other things you missed. Not only can you transfer text Via the White Board but Pictures and Sounds as well. Oh, did I say that you can also save your White Boards?? Well you can. CP seems to have a way of doing these types of transfers with out effecting the Connection. File Transers are also very well done. Where else can you transfer small or even HUGE files and talk at the same time on the same phone line?

I can still browze the Net with ClearPhone running in the background or even go to a "Text" chat place. Heck it even works with AOL! All with no loss of voice! NONE!!!

Another point the voice seems to coincide with the Pictures. Not like some third rate movie that was translated where the Voice comes then the mouth movement. (I have seen them all)

Yes I love ClearPhone and so does my Daughter and Son! My friends love it too! Bob has done and is doing a wonderful job!

If you are ever on CP give me a buzz.. If I am not there the AUTO Answering machine will click in and prompt you to leave a message (Text or Voice)! (I love this feature) So no calls are missed!!! I'll get back
with you.

Reviewed in Australian "Macworld" comparing all Internet Phones!

Engineering Consulting's ClearPhone was the standout package, offering 'hifi' audio quality thanks to its Qualcomm compression technology and a swag of powerful videoconferencing features. Engineering Consulting modestly claimed it was the 'best video conferencing program on the internet' because it always sends 100 percent of digitised audio and video packets, by buffering them when there is insufficient bandwidth. That can cause transmission delays of up to a few seconds, but 'guarantees' the holy grail of ITquality. Sound quality was so good that Australian Macworld conducted a 45 minute interview across the Pacific with ClearPhone developer, Robert (Radiobob) Blumenkranz, using the ClearPhone software on an iMac. ClearPhone Pro is packed with features. It enables an exchange of audio, video, files, graphics, sounds, movies, document sharing and whiteboarding.

Hi Bob!
Merry Christmas! I downloaded the ClearPhone demo and was very pleased to find it works with Appletalk as well as IP protocol. Over my Appletalk 10 baseT network I was able to achieve 2 fps at 320 window size with perfect audio quality without losing audio sync with the video or tweaking the vox delay (tested w/VHS tape from the VCR). Does this sound about right? I was xmiting from an 8500 w/300mHz G3 w/1Mcache to 7500 w/604/150/256 cache. The 604 box definitely seemed speed-limited trying to keep up with the datarate, even with no digitizer input on its side. Filesharing and internet connection were both off. I'm sold, and will purchase a license ASAP. My initial thought was just to use ClearPhone for video conferencing with my mom, who arthritis has pretty much stranded on one floor of our house. But I was so pleased with ClearPhone I plan to use it on my website. I run a web-based grass roots group aimed at helping folks in the military understand the principles in the Declaration of Independence and Constitution. It's a long story how I got into this but it keeps me off the streets while I'm working on an Econ Ph.D. with Walter Williams at George Mason U. Thought you'd like to look at my plug for ClearPhone - it's front and center on my homepage at http://www.citizensoldier.org Also sent mail to MacAddict raving about ClearPhone and telling them to do a story on videoconferencing featuring ClearPhone. Please hurry with the Windows version - not that I'd ever use it but I've got members in about 17 states and many of them are struggling with Wintel junk. If it would be worth your while, I'd love to offer a discount to my members who purchase ClearPhone - most of these folks I've never actually seen face to face! Thanks for a great product and a special thanks for keeping porn off the public servers. As I tested other videoconferencing aps I was disgusted with the trash you couldn't avoid just to get on a pub. Merry Christmas & Best Regards,

Finally, I am teaching a course (I HAVE 4 STUDENTS SIGNED UP!!!! ) Using Clearphone. It is a free test preparation course. I hope the folks who download your software actually buy to use with upcoming courses that I will teach as I prefer using ClearPhone for our Continuing Education Programs for Health Educators. (you can quote me on that: Dr. Michael Pejsach, Health Promotion and Rehabilitation Professor, Central Michigan University, Mt. Pleasant, MI- I
start there in mid August. My web site will be the same.)

Thank you for all your help, especially your patience with customers such as myself.

This software is phenominal. After testing for a week I am impressed enough to purchase a copy to use on my Powerbook G3. I hope to eventually get a copy on my daughters powerbook at college so she can talk to us and eventually her boyfriend (who uses windows). I have not found much software that I just had to have these days but this one sure will be quite useful for me. Russ Jacobson (aka Dino Russ) Illinois State Geological Survey
