Observed for the first time at Engineering Consulting (home of ClearPhone) today during a conference transmission between a 6500 -225 Mhz desktop computer and a 3400 powerbook over 10 base T Ethernet real time 30 Frames per second video and audio of exceptional quality was observed. A digitizer and receive frame size of 320x240 pixels was used. Until now to accomplish this feat required substantial expensive hardware video codex processors costing thousands of dollars!

Using a Macintosh computer and the ClearPhoneProPPC™ 5.3 video conferencing software, Engineering Consulting today has accomplished the computer equilavent of breaking the sound barrier for the first time or flying solo across the Atlantic!

Engineering Consulting is pleased to announce the Preview release of ClearPhoneProPPC 5.3. featuring the new Hi-speed video send capability "SynchroMotion™ which enables your MAC to send and receive simultaneous high speed Hi resolution video and Hi-Fidelity audio. All your MAC needs is OS-8 (or 8.1), Quicktime 3.0, an A/V card and a video camera or a Quickcam™. *Slower 040 Macs can send and receive the high speed SynchroMotion™ video and Hi Fi audio while sending standard quality ClearPhone™ audio at the same time.

The Preview release of ClearPhoneProPPC 5.3 for the first time provides high speed video and simultaneous Hi-fi audio transmission capability to ClearPhone™ the worlds most advanced video conferencing program. SynchroMotion™ high speed video can be used by MACs via modem or when using high speed data connections and SynchroMotion™ transmissions are compatible with and can be received by earlier ClearPhone 4.x.x versions. The SynchroMotion™ video frame transmission rate is adjustable from a few seconds between frames to a smooth full motion 8 frames per/second.

As the available network bandwidth varies, the video frame transmission rate will adjust and synchronize as it attempts to reach your pre-selected frame send rate based on the available bandwidth and connection speed between callers. As the network connections between ClearPhone callers varies in the amount of available bandwidth and data transmission speed, SynchroMotion™ Video and Hi Fi audio automatically adjusts to the video refresh rate that your connection will allow while maintaining the quality of the audio and video to be transferred which is always received as originally sent, without any data loss that can cause dropouts and poor received quality with other video conferencing programs.

The high speed SynchroMotion™ video transfers will always attain maximum video frame refresh speeds over Appletalk or Ethernet between two or more MACs in group conferences.
